Project description

To convert and fully refurbish a former hotel into classrooms and a marketing suite.

Project Brief

To convert and fully refurbish a former hotel in to classrooms and a marketing suite for Bosworth college, make alterations to class rooms in adjoining building and create openings on all levels to extend the existing teaching building in to the former hotel.

The Process

First off all our team stripped out the property of all its redundant fixtures, fittings and floor coverings as it was being fully refurbished. Next we made all the internal alterations, blocking up door ways. creating new openings and removing ensuit bathroom partitions to increase the size of the proposed class rooms. Our carpenters then installed the new stud partitions to create seperate male and female toilets , cupboards and protected escape routes in the basment rooms. Once the majority of the alterations were complete our approved electrical and plumbing contarctors rewired the entire building, installed a new data newtork and central heating to the prooposed classrooms and marketing suit. We then plastered all of the new partitions and made good the alterations and damaged walls and ceilings.
To meet fire regulation the new class rooms and escape rountes were fitted new fire doors and iron mongery and the existing stair cases refurbished and timber mouldings repaired. The who building was fitted with suited locks.
As the refurishment was taking place during school term we had to create the openings and corridors to the adjoining school building out of hours so we installed tempoary partitions the the inuse building and worked out of hours to make alterations, create new corridors and opeings to join the two builing together.

The Result

The entire building was decorated and we fitted out each class rooms and marketing suites to suit their individual requirements.
